Antarctica
Antarctica is the less densely populated area on earth. A place where things change radically in the blink of an eye, a place in constant motion and dramatic change. I traveled to Antarctica with the intention of documenting the life of the people who live and work there permanently or who spend long periods of time in one of the roughest conditions on earth. It’s only a handful of people who dare to live in such isolated setting, where there is no space for mistakes (in a large list of issues). They are being witness of life in its essence and also to profound changes in it.
This is my first approach to a place I couldn’t even imagine, that in its proportions truly made me look at myself as the most insignificant creature on earth, it’s hard for me to explain the feelings I had while there and the ones after coming back to my reality. My intention is to keep this as an ongoing project that will allow me to understand and learn more about our interaction as living beings with what is our home.
